Let's Talk: Favorite Books, Blog, TV & Movies

 Hey friends!
Today, I am linking up with Erika & Andrea for their Let's Talk Series!

Today we are talking about my favorite things: Books, Blogs, TV & Movies

Favorite Books
It is so hard for me to pick a favorite book. I have been a reader my entire life. I love nothing more than curling up with a fuzzy blanket and reading a book in one sitting. As life gets busier, I have less and less time to read for enjoyment. Academic reading isn't as enjoyable.
I have recently joined NetGalley, and I love getting the chance to read new books in exchange for a review. It's the best. I am working on reading a few books just in time for Christmas :)

I have shared a few collages of the books I would recommend to a friend. I love Janet Evanovich and I really need to read her Stephanie Plum series. My absolute all-time favorite author right now is Sophie Hudson. She's hilarious, honest, & sweet- the perfect combination in a book about doing life.

Favorite Blogs
One of my favorite things to do is read blogs by sweet, funny, sassy & genuine ladies.

1. The first ever blog I read was Sheaffer's @ Pinterest Told Me To. She's now changed her blog to Sheaffer Told Me To She's hilarious and got an eye for the latest trends. Plus she's a SLP ;)
2. Shay Shull @ Mix & Match Mama. I love her & I love her family's adoption story. Thanks for sharing your heart every week!
3. Sophie Hudson @ Boo Mama  She's the author of my favorite books (above)
4. Andrea @ Momfesisonals- Gigi is the cutest & I love her party ideas and her home decor. She became my absolute favorite when she shared how she loves lamps more than overhead lights. Amen.
5. Erika-  @ A Little Bit of Everything -Her family is adorable & she understands the football wife life.

Favorite TV

I am so excited for the Fall lineup this year. My top three new shows were : This is Us,  Designated Survivor, and Bull.

I watched This is Us with my 92 years young, Memaw. (She was a fan because one of the triplets was on her soap opera), and we both got choked up and sucked in. If we are any example, it covers a wide range of demographics. Also, the show had the cozy vibe that Parenthood gave me. I have been looking for a show to fill that void, and I think This is Us has the potential.

Designated Survivor is going to be my next favorite political drama. The writers set it up really well, and I'm interested to see how the new President transitions to his role as Executive Chief.

Michael Weatherly as Di'Nozzo on  NCIS was one of my favorite TV characters for years. I love a good crime drama, but I love it even more when forensic psychology and personality typing are involved. I think this is going to be one of my favorites of all time.

My DVR is going to be busy this Fall, but when I'm not watching my recorded shows, I will be watching the Netflix original shows such as the Fall  & Marcella.

Favorite Movies

I did a quick post on the 3 movies I would take with me if I was stranded with Erika & Shay here
I chose: Sweet Home Alabama, Couples Retreat, & Christmas with the Kranks

I am terrible at making decisions about favorite movies. It would probably be easier to say that the entire romantic comedy section on Netflix is my favorite.

Thanks for the link-up ladies! I love rounding up my favorites :) Can't wait to read your favorites!
