Luv Michael: More than Granola

As many of you know, I am working on my master's degree in speech pathology. I have a heart for individuals with autism. I have been so richly blessed to experience the excitement of reaching our pragmatic goals & so frustrated when our education system fails them.

I jumped at the opportunity to work with Luv Michael, a non-profit granola snack company. Luv Michael is not just any granola company, they provide careers and education for individuals with autism. Luv Michael fosters a learning environment for individuals to learn skills that help them become employable. Every bag of granola is hand mixed and packed by individuals with autism.

I was sent a sample of the organic granola and I was pleasantly surprised at the taste. I am not a fan of too dry granola, but this fit the bill perfectly. It was crunchy and  the perfect snack to mix with yogurt.  It was the perfect size to take on the go with me this week. Breakfast is hard the first week of school and I'm so glad to add this to my routine

The only negative about the granola was the shipping, the postage didn't quite cover the cost of the package so USPS requested I leave the remaining balance in my mailbox. This is a minor detail but I am committed to being honest in my review and thought I would share. I wouldn't let this get in the way of buying a great product with a great mission though!
*Update* the company reimbursed my shipping cost! Great customer service*

Luv Michael is currently in a few stores in NY & DE. To learn more about their mission, and to purchase your own granola- click here

I was researching their social media (Facebook) for this post and I came across this PBS video. Watch for a behind the scenes look at Luv Michael:
