Show & Tell Tuesday: What's in My Bag

Happy Tuesday, Friends!

I spent my Monday running around getting errands done, like a TB test & a background check, as well as celebrating my future sister-in-law's 18th birthday!

I am linking up with Andrea to share What's in my bag. After a weekend of traveling and visiting wedding vendors, I couldn't wait to see what I dug out of my heavy purse.

The Bag:

I am one of those people who gets a purse and sticks to it, unless I need to be hands free, and then this purse is my go-to. For my birthday present to myself, I bought this beautiful thing. #surprisesale It was a moment of weakness, but has been my best purchase so far in 2016.

When I need to be handsfree, I use this cross body I have had for years. It's a great size, and it fits all the stuff I'm about to show you.

The Wallet

I have had 2 fossil wallets in the past 7 years, and they are absolutely my favorite brand. I am drawn to all the compartments because I like to feel organized, even if it's really chaos.
This one is similar to mine, but I have the gold version

The Diabetes Supplies

Here's all that I am supposed to have on me in case of emergencies. Now the ideal thing would be to leave this mess in the car, but a lot of this can't be subjected to extreme temperatures. I say supposed to have, because I often try to lighten the load, and carry the bare minimum if I know I will be close to an emergency center.
I have so wished to be able to go places with my key-fab wallet & phone, but that's probably not the safest thing. I have decided all this diabetes stuff has prepared me for having kids and all the stuff they bring :)

I recently bought this cosmetic travel set from Vera Bradley, and that's where I store all my "stuff". It's my go to because if the sugar gets everywhere, I can just throw it in the wash.

The Rest

I have way more cosmetics than I realized in here. I feel like I place the few ones I need and the rest just tend to collect.
My badge is always in my purse because it gets me into my school buildings and therapy note room. I have begun to carry gum everywhere, I like this trident white, but it's not my favorite.
When creating this post,  I found a starbucks gift card (yay!), a business card from a furniture company, and my minute clinic notes for my appt today. Goodness, my purse was a mess!

I have ended up with 23 pens in my purse before. Who needs that many pens? Either I'm a pen stealer or a pen hoarder, (or maybe both). Needless to say, if you need a pen ask me.

I loved that this post made me clean out my purse. It's such a catch-all! I can't wait to see the fun things in your purses! :)

  1. I'm a one purse woman too! So much easier to stick with one bag. If I switch it up I am forever forgetting things!

  2. I have diabetes stuff in my purse too! It's for my T1 son (he's 3). You are so right about the wish of just carrying around keys, wallet and phone! Loved looking at your bag contents! That Kate Spade purse is gorgeous!

  3. I find random pens all the time in my purse too :)
Love your purse. I'm someone who sticks with one for an entire season too.
That's a cute little brush. Does it stick on everything though?

    1. It surprisingly doesn't! I wonder if it's because it's supposed to be good for tangles. It's the wet brush from target.

  4. Whenever my husband and I are going somewhere, my purse instantly gets heavier with his diabetes things--plus I always carry around glucose. It's been handy even when he wasn't with me. One lady at a store felt like her bs was going low and asked if anyone had anything sweet and I pulled out the glucose!

    1. I bet it does! I imagine it's harder for guys to keep track of their things since they don't have huge purses :) I have shared my glucose tabs a few times too :)
