Show & Tell Tuesday: My favorite vacation

Hey, Friends!

Today I am linking up with Andrea to share a few of my favorite vacations.

I have a huge wanderlust list, with my first dream trip of choice being Greece. We aren't planning on honeymooning there because Zack hasn't ever flown before and I don't want his first trip to be overseas ;) I'm hoping it'll be a 5 year anniversary trip. We are in the midst of planning a honeymoon and we finally have it narrowed down to a few places.

When I think vacation, I often think beach. I'm so blessed to live in the mountains so it's not often I travel to other mountains. Something about the ocean just soothes my soul.

The Florida Keys

For my graduation trip, we did a tour of Florida, and the Keys including swimming with dolphins. I had the best time with Auntie Ba, but boy I'm not a fan of Florida drivers.

The Outerbanks (Nags Head)

The Outerbanks has been my happy place for so many years. When I was in fourth grade, we started going here every summer with our closest friends. We have only missed one summer in almost 15 years! :) My pictures don't do it justice. I wish I could find the ones with the wild horses of Corolla. They are stunning and they live on the beach!

Murrells Inlet, SC

After we graduated from high school, I have joined in on the Gibson Family Vacation. I haven't been a huge fan of Myrtle beach in the past, but last year we ventured down to Murrells Inlet, and I fell in love! It had the perfect beach town charm, it reminded me of the OBX so much.

Knoxville, TN

Zack & I love road trips together. We are taking more day trips, and we ended up in Knoxville a couple of times last Fall. We sure love football, and time together :)

Just outside of Knoxville, is Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg  and we had the best weekend there with our friends last May. It's nice to have a vacation town just across the state lines.

Thanks for reading my favorite vacations! I'm off to read your posts, and hopefully find some inspiration for our honeymoon :)
If you didn't link-up today, what's your dream trip?

  1. I can't believe he's never flown before! Crazy! You'll have to go somewhere super fun for his first flight (but I totally agree, not a super long international flight)! And you and your sister look sooo much alike!
