September Goals

Happy September!

I am SO excited for Fall! Like, I already broke out the apple & pumpkin scented candles two weeks ago excited.

Today. I am sharing my goals for September.

I started posting my goals every month in June, and I love how accountable it keeps me.

Now, onto September
September Goals, It's the Grad Life

1. Buy UT tickets

Zack & I have made it a tradition to go to University of Tennessee to watch a game in the Fall. It's his favorite college team, and we love the atmosphere at Neyland Stadium. For his birthday, I have bought tickets. This year, we are hoping to get tickets to see UT & UGA play.  I am planning to buy those tickets this month :)

2. Get into a Routine

We are now into week 3 of Grad School. Although, it's getting crazy, I am so ready to get into a routine. I am in the middle of my first full week of clinic... It's a whirlwind, but I am glad to have my schedule. I can't wait to get into a routine of paperwork & classwork.
Although, this image resonated with me this week...

3. Schedule Blog Posts

Blog posts are getting harder to write the night before I post ;) I am hoping to spend a little time each week and schedule my posts ahead of time. Ideally, I would like to crank out several for the month, but I think I would be happy with a weekly schedule :)

4. Social Media Kit

Along with scheduling posts, I want to create a social media kit. I hope to work with professionally and think that this would be a great way to include my stats in an easy to read format.
I have heard that canva has a great template. But I am not sure where to start or what I really am looking for.
I found a few on etsy. I really like this one...

I hope to make a decision this month & work on implementing it.

5. Find a Desk

I need a desk. My apartment came furnished except it didn't come with a desk. I wanted to find the perfect vintage desk and refurbish it, but I ran out of time. It probably didn't help that I waited until 2 weeks before I moved.... oops :)  My office supplies are everywhere. I want a place I can keep school stuff organized & a desk to do homework/treatment plans/ blog posts on
So now I am on the market for a desk, and I live on the 4th floor with no elevators... It's been a struggle.
I am open to any suggestions you have! Send help! :)

6. Shop for Navy Gingham

I am looking for a Navy Gingham blouse to wear with my new olive vest (thanks Target). I want one that has a flattering cut with out being to "manly"

Here are a few options I am considering:

From Madewell
I really like this one, but it's "almost black" and $54. It's a little on the higher end of my budget and I am not 100% sure it's what I am looking for.

It's not Gingham but I like the look of this plaid from J. Crew Factory

I sometimes find an outfit on Pinterest, and try to recreate it. I am planning to do some shopping over the long weekend and hope I find a better idea of what I am looking for.

Thanks for reading my goals! I would love to know what you hope to accomplish this month.
Be back on Friday for a fun announcement!

  1. Why can't Target or Old Navy have a perfect navy gingham shirt?! I've been looking for one since last year and I don't want to spend $54. Waaah. Can't wait for the fun announcement on Friday!

  2. For a Media Kit (what you call a social media kit), I'd strongly recommend use Chantilly Branding Designs! They designed our blog and all their work has been beautiful!
