What's Up Wednesday: July

Happy Wednesday!

Today, I am linking up with some of my favorite bloggers:  ShayMel and Shaeffer.

Instead of my normal WIWW post, I am sharing "What's up" in my life :)

1. What I'm Eating

I have been focused on eating breakfast, especially when I work. My blood sugar has been dropping around 11, so I need to eat a bigger breakfast to prevent that. Oh & Coffee is in its own food group for me ;)
Here are some breakfasts from this past month :)

2. What I'm Reminiscing about

I am reminiscing about May & how I wish I could restart Summer. I swear it fly's by way too fast.
Summer Favorites:

3.What I'm loving

I am loving Summer. I feel so much more relaxed spending time with family & friends without the stress of schoolwork

4.What I've been up to

I have been at the beach (again), working & loving on my family

5.What I'm dreading

I am dreading the moving process. Whew. it always stresses me out because I worry if I am bringing enough, or will I have the right things & how to best organize my stuff

I am using this as my new motto:
Less House, More Home Watercolor Print Art Print

6. What I'm working on

I am working on school stuff, I took a CPR course & awaiting a background check so I can be good to go for the clinic.
Also, I am desperately looking for an olive green vest!
I tried one on at Lucky this past week & I hated the cross front closure. :(
If you have any leads, please comment below :)
(I think the picture accurately displays my disappointment, hehe)

7. What I'm Excited about

As anxious as I am about grad school starting, I am pretty excited to get going and for a new routine. I also am excited for Zack's football season to start :)
It's been awesome to watch is transition from player to coach

I can't believe this was 4 years ago!!

8. What I'm Reading/Watching

I am watching House of Cards with Zack, we are about to wrap up Season 2
and finishing up Season 2 of the Blacklist.

Thanks a lot, Netflix / House of Cards, for yesterday's heartattack

9. What I'm listening to

I am not one of those people who constantly has music playing, so when I do listen, it's typically by Zack's influence. He made us a playlist for on the way back from the beach featuring "Bro-Country" greats such as Luke Bryan and Florida-Georgia Line
Luke Bryan such a good hearted guy who loves god, his family, friends, and his fans! A biy can he dance! He's got the moves like jagger!

10. What I'm Wearing

I'm wearing comfy clothes this month to beat the Heat. It has been unbearably hot here in the mountains.
I often pair a tank with my Favorite Vigoss Jeans

11. What I'm doing this weekend

This weekend, I am heading to Delaware to visit my mom's family. It has been way too long. My grandpa is not doing very well, he has Stage 4 Bladder Cancer. It would be so wonderful if you could keep him & my family in your prayers.

12. What I'm looking forward to next month

As I started to say above, I am so excited to start Grad School & for Zack to get going on Football season. He has worked so hard, and I know he can't wait either :)

13. What else new:

Well I am getting over my Nordstrom Sale Hangover ;) and now I'm ready for Fall. Okay, I'm ready for the early parts of Fall, not Cold weather fall ;)

Bonus: What will you miss most about Summer?

Everything, but the heat...No seriously though, I love how relaxed my attitude gets, how long the nights are, how much quality time I get. I will miss midnight snacks & coffee with Memaw, Netflix marathons with Zack, dinners with my family & work with my girls. But nope, I won't miss the heat ;)

Thank you ladies for such a fun post idea!
& Thanks for reading "What's up" in my life!
Have a great week ;)

  1. Glad you're enjoying summer so much! My husband and I are currently finishing up Friday Night Lights and then we're going to start House of Cards! So sorry about your grandpa, grandparents are priceless! I will definitely pray for him!

  2. Coffee is it's own food group in my book too...the more, the better! :) I've been looking for a new TV show to start and I keep hearing about "House of Cards." I think I will add that to my queue. Best of luck to you as you start grad school! :)

  3. Those breakfasts look delicious! I wasn't always a breakfast person, but now I'm all about it. Looks like you've had a great summer, Caitlin! Love the Nordstrom blardigan on you!

  4. I'll be keeping you, your grandpa, and the rest of your families in my thoughts! I'm sorry to hear that. :( I got an olive green vest from Old Navy last spring and I LOVE it. I've seen some bloggers post one from Target this year that looks super similar. So I'd check ON and Target! Good luck!

  5. I bought this olive vest at Target and LOVE it
I'm loving the summer but I'm more than ready for fall fashion!

Thanks for reading, I would love for you to share your thoughts :)
