Friday Favorites: 5 T1D Friendly Snacks

Happy Friday ya'll! 

Whew, what a week! I have been busy catching up after a vacation.
I am house/doggie sitting for family friends, and the 3 doggies are keeping me going ;)
Enough rambling, it's time to share my Friday Favorites!
 




Today I am linking up with ErikaAndrea & Narci for Friday Favorites & April of A. Liz Adventures for the 5 on Friday, to  share my favorite snacks, that also are Type 1 (Diabetes) Friendly :)

I want to share a disclaimer before I continue, that being said I'm not reccomending that anybody eat what I eat, I just wanted to share what works for me :)


I have featured this snack on one of my weekend wrap-up posts, but it's definitely a favorite.
It's a "free" snack, meaning it has no-to little carbs that I don't have to dose insulin for.
When I am hungry, but don't have time for a big snack, this is my go to for sure!


The verdict is still out on the Mango Chipotle Dressing... I am not sure I like the sweetness of the mango with a salad dressing.



Belvita is great for in between meals when I need some carbs, or I prefer the breakfast bars when I am running out the door. 


I also like the mixed berry flavors, but you can't go wrong with chocolate ;)



Simply Balanced Almond Butter Snack is my NEW favorite. I tried it because Target cartwheel has a great coupon this week!
I eat this as a morning or afternoon snack at work.
It's well balanced with unsweetened applesauce & 15 Grams of Protein!!

I have never like bananas...the texture just freaks me out. But the plantain chips challenge my dislike for bananas. I know they are different, but baby steps right?? 
Peanut butter is always a favorite & mixed with a healthy snack makes me happy :)
I also appreciate when my snacks carb count is already done for me 
#mathainteasy ;)

& last, but not least!
I want to share my new favorite brand of popcorn...
I actually love all popcorn, especially if it's extra "fake" butter movie popcorn. As much as I love it, I was looking for a healthier option for my breaks at work.

I was at the grocery store & this was on sale! 
at 15 carbs per serving & 35 calories per cup, it makes a great "T1D" friendly snack :)
