Friday Favorites: Good Friday

Good Friday is a permanent favorite.

It truly is such an important day for my faith & the most humbling day of the year.

Today I am linking up with Andrea, Erika & Narci to share my favorite bible verses.

I reflect on my past year, and I'm eternally grateful for the best present I have ever received.
Today we remember that Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice. (Ideally, we remember this everyday).

I don't have a very exciting testimony. I have been fortunate enough to be raised a Christian & established a firm foundation in my faith through my 12 years at Emmanuel Lutheran School.
I really took ownership of my faith 2 years ago, and I am so glad I did.
Lately Zack & I have been attending church together, and our relationship has been blessed by it.

Today for my Friday Favorites, I want to share my favorite Bible verses. These verses all speak to my heart for different reasons. Everytime I come back to them, I get a new message.

Right now, I am in a season of enormous change. A little over a month from now, I will graduate college and head into a new adventure, graduate school. I prayed about my blog and about what I hoped to get out of the experience. In the end, it's not about me, but about Him. What am I doing for His kingdom?

Ruth is one of my favorite books in the Bible. Because of Ruth & Naomi's faith, God provided a son who would be David's grandfather. It reminds me that God is with us even when we can't see the good.

Proverbs 31:8 is the verse that spoke to me when deciding on Speech Pathology. I think this describes my job as an advocate and gives me purpose.

I get caught up in my selfishness & stress, when instead I need to have Faith.
I haven't picked a school, but I trust that God will give me peace about the choices.
How great is it that we are not alone in life?

I promised that I would be honest in this blog, to myself and to my readers. My life is not glamorous and I am a sinner. But I rest knowing that He died for me. I hope this weekend you take time to renew your faith & rest in Him a little more.

Happy Easter Everyone!
